PUBLICATION OF MERIT LIST AND ADMISSION THROUGH DECENTRALIZED PROCESS IN THE 1st YEAR OF B. TECH COURSES AGAINST VACANCY 2024
As per G.O. No. 413-Edn(T)/10M-86/15 dated 12.09.2024 of Department of Higher Education, Govt. of West Bengal and in continuation of this office notice number No. No. 325/IV/1 dated 19.09.2024, merit list of applicants based on applications received up to 23.09.2024, 1:00 pm is hereby published for counseling and admission in the 1st year of B. Tech courses against vacant seats through decentralized process 2024.
A total of 558 applications were received. Out of that, 7 separate Merit Lists are hereby published according to general merit rank (up to a certain rank) based on number of vacancy and reservation category. Applicants whose names are enlisted in the following 7 merit lists are hereby called to appear on the decentralized counseling and admission process on 26.09.2024 within 11:30 am. A combined merit list is of all the applicants are also hereby appended with the notice. One application was rejected due to application through WBJELET 2024 was made.
Admission Process:
 Merit List has been prepared on the basis of data given in the filled in application form by the applicants. If any anomalies found at the time of physical verification of documents during Counseling and admission, application will be treated as cancelled. If any applicant fails to produce any category certificate his/her candidature will be cancelled.
 The applicants who have been called for decentralized admission on 26.09.2024 are directed to report within 11:30 am at 1st year class hall (old library), 1st floor of main building at GCELT Salt Lake campus. No applicants will be allowed for counseling after 11:30 am.
 Only applicants will be allowed inside counselling hall.
 Presence of applicant is mandatory. Without applicant no seat will be allotted.
 The applicants present within 11:30 am on 26.09.2024 will be called serially as per their GMR and will be offered choice of seats as per vacancy and category. Applicants may choose course as per her/ his choice or may opt out if choice of stream is not available at that time.
 The counseling shall continue till the vacancy exists strictly following the merit and as per preference of the student. If the applicants who are called for decentralized counseling and admission does not report within 11:30 AM on 26.09.2024 her / his candidature will be cancelled and they will not be considered for any further round (if any) of decentralized process from the same merit list.
 Attendance will start from 10:30 am on 26.09.2024
Documents required on 26.09.2024 for decentralized counselling and admission (ORGINAL and one self- attested photocopy)
1. WBJEE 2024 Rank card
2. Date of Birth proof document (10th admit / DOB certificate)
3. Mark sheet of Madhyamik (10th) or equivalent examination
4. Mark sheet of Higher Secondary (12th) or equivalent examination
5. SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/ EWS / PWD Certificate (if applicable)
For OBC candidates, Category A or B must be written in certificate and NCL (Non Creamy Layer) certificate issued on and after 01.04.2024 is a must requirement for OBC – A or B; certificate issuing authority should be as per WBJEEB guidelines.
EWS candidates must bring certificate to be issued on and after 01.04.2024, certificate issuing authority should be as per WBJEEB guidelines
6. Domicile certificate (as per format/rules specified by WBJEEB)
7. AADHAR Card
8. Two copies of recent passport size photo
 Applicant who do not possess all the eligibility criteria and the terms and conditions as stipulated by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board and Govt. of West Bengal in respect of WBJEE 2024, will not be considered for admission.
 Failing to produce any of the above documents may result in cancellation of candidature.
 Applicants who will be selected on 26.09.2024 for admission will have to submit admission fee on the same date (exact amount in cash / through online mode details of which will be provided after document verification) to complete admission process. After selection no separate date shall be given for payment of fee. Details of fee are given below:
1. B. Tech. in COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING – Rs.10,050/-
2. B. Tech. in INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY – Rs.11,050/-
3. B. Tech. in LEATHER TECHNOLOGY – Rs.9550/-
